Invasive Fauna Unit Head
Martina is the Invasive Fauna Unit Head for the BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy. She is the Ministry’s science and strategic policy lead for terrestrial and aquatic invasive animals. Martina is a member of the BC Inter-Ministry Invasive Species Working and currently chairs the Western Canada Invasive Species Technical Working Group Committee that actively collaborates on priority invasive species challenges common across five jurisdictions. Martina completed her MSc studies in aquatic invasive species research at the University of Victoria and has been the driving force behind the development, delivery and management of the BC Invasive Mussel Defense program.
