Manjit Kerr-Upal is the Director of Conservation Science with the British Columbia Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy. She leads a team of scientists who provide provincial-level leadership on a broad range of fish and wildlife conservation priorities including species at risk and invasive species. The Conservation Science team includes the Ministry’s core science and research staff who deliver an applied research program in collaboration with government, industry and academic organizations.  With over 15 years experience with the Government of Canada, and almost two years with the Government of British, she brings an broad, science-based perspective to collaborations and decisions affecting the conservation of natural resources in British Columbia.
