Sen. Lee Heider

First elected to the chamber in 2010, Heider is chair of Idaho’s Health and Welfare committee, and is also a member of the Resources and Environment Committee. Heider earned his B.S. in Youth Leadership from Brigham Young University and his M.P.A. from Ball State University. His professional experience includes working as a real estate broker and owning his own flooring company. Heider was born on February 17, 1947, in Twin Falls, ID. In his hometown, he has been a member of City Council, and also has held the position of Vice Mayor. Senator Heider has been chair of the River Governance Committee (CSGW), a graduate of PNWER’s Legislative Energy Horizon Institute (LEHI), and is an accomplished Eagle Scout. Lee has 6 children, and 28 grandchildren.
