Dr. Brian Heise is an aquatic ecologist in the Department of Natural Resource Sciences at Thompson Rivers University, in Kamloops BC.  Brian’s research looks at the effects of various land use practices, including invasive species, on the ecology of invertebrates and fish in freshwater systems. He and his students are currently studying invasive northern pike, yellow perch and goldfish.  Brian is also the Chair of the Invasive Species Council of BC.
