Selkirk College
President and CEO
I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of British Columbia and was employed as a professional Forester before beginning my career in post-secondary education. I began instructing at Selkirk College in 1992 and have since remained here. Concurrent to being an instructor, I served as a Department Head and then a School Chair for the School of Renewable Resources (now Environment and Geomatics).

In 2004, I completed my Masters Degree at Royal Roads University and moved into a Dean of Instruction position, overseeing a large administrative portfolio at Selkirk. In 2008, I joined the executive team in the position of Vice President, Academic and Student Development.

After former President Marilyn Luscombe's departure in December 2010, I served as the Interim President of Selkirk, and on April 15, 2011, I was appointed the President and CEO.

I know that the community college plays a profoundly important role in the Canadian socio-economic landscape: one of providing accessible, relevant and compelling higher learning critical to the growth and development of a resilient civil society. I believe learners and the community are at the centre of the work of the community college.
