Formal negotiations between the U.S. and Canada on the Columbia River Treaty began early this year. The agreement, which began in 1964, governs hydropower and flood-control operations along the Columbia River.
This two-day tour will take participants to a number of significant sites along the Columbia River on both sides of the border, and will feature insights from leading experts on recommendations for modernizing the Treaty.
Further details will be announced later but the tour will last Thursday all-day to 5:30pm Friday. The Thursday night hotel will be arranged by PNWER with attendees responsible for the cost.
